2Recognition of Unceded First Nations Territory.We acknowledge that we work, live and play on the traditional Unceded lands of the Coast Salish peoples and are grateful to our local First Nations, Snaw-Naw-As and Kwalikum for their careful stewardship of these precious lands and waters. We respect and acknowledge all First Nations, Metis, Inuit and other Indigenous residents of Oceanside for their many contributions to the health and well-being of our community.Jewelz2

4.Review and Approval of Agenda, any Additions to the Agenda.Memorial Tree.Jane and Sue from MSTH /Healing Hearts Bereavement group put up the “Gone Too Soon” Memorial tree . It can be found at the Oceanside Health Centre, on the 2nd floor waiting area for MHSU. The tree is in memory of those who died due to Substance Use Harms. Please feel free to add your loved one’s name on the decorations provided or use your own. We are grateful to Elizabeth Driver, who allowed us to put the tree up again this year. 5.Guest speaker:      Erica Williamson.   IH,  Discovery Youth & Family Substance Use Services My presentation will cover the target group we work with, why we work with the whole family, and our connections to community organizations, schools and indigenous communities.  I will present our workshop Menu that covers the topic of substance use from the harm reduction perspective and works to support a culture of safety and curiosity in our communities.  I will also focus on the harm reduction services and supplies we connect our families to. The  website  has the referral forms embedded in the page.https://www.islandhealth.ca/our-services/youth-family-substance-use-services/youth-family-substance-use-services/discovery-youth-family-substance-use-services Erica Williamson20
