There are multiple organizations launching cold weather responses for the coming weekend in the Oceanside area.
ICCS will run an overnight warming shelter from Saturday Feb 1 through Tuesday Feb 4 from 7 pm to 7 am at the Christian Fellowship Centre, 825 Village Way in Qualicum Beach. There will be outreach workers offering rides to and from the shelter.
The City of Parksville will open the door of the Jensen St. Civic and Technology Centre starting on Saturday Feb 1 and running through Tuesday Feb 4. Hours are 7 am to 7 pm on Saturday, 7 am to 9:30 pm on Sunday, and 8 am to 10 pm on Monday and Tuesday.
And the Oceanside Community Church in Errington will have a warming overnight shelter, Sunday Feb 2 from 7 pm to 8 am, Monday Feb 3 from 10 pm to 8 am and Tuesday Feb 4 from 10 pm to 8 am.
